Summer Success for Town and City Builders!

After completing the cafe extension at Holy Apostles Church Hall for Easter our attention focussed on another Church project - Kendal Road Baptist Church. A striking design showcased a range of materials and finishes on the new build church. The end result was very well received by the churchgoers and local residents. A versatile space includes a mezzanine floor and covered courtyard. You can see more photos of this project here.

The summer holiday period has traditionally been the busiest time of year for Town & City Builders. Schools account for a large proportion of our turnover and this year was no exception. We returned to Katherine Lady Berkley’s School to complete Phase 2 of the Science block refurbishment and were awarded another project on the Main Block. Both projects were completed on time for the return of students in September.

Key to the success was the close day-to-day communication between contractors and the school’s Facility Manager who played an integral role in pre-planning and then accommodating trades on site.

“Now that we are at the end of the 2 projects I just wished to thank you both personally, and on behalf of the school for your support and determination in making both the projects a success. The end product in both areas is really pleasing and has been well received. Coming in on budget was just the icing on the cake.”
Alastair Farwell, KLB Facility Manager.
